The course is of use to people who want to:

  • Learn about the viability of making there own biodiesel for personal, business or farm use.
  • Wish to overcome production and specification issues, better the production process and resulting fuel.
  • Start making biodiesel and want to see how it is best set up and manufactured.
  • Make from 20 to 2000 liters of biodiesel per day..

The one day course in Melbourne Victoria what to expect:

    • Starts at 10am and goes till 3 – 4 pm.
    • Learn how to make biodiesel.
    • We will make 2 batches of biodiesel from start to finish. I will thoroughly explain each step. The process is interactive not just theory so be prepared to get your hands oily.
    • Practice everything in the book / manual ‘Biodiesel for the Small Producer'.
    • Learn a more advanced biodiesel recipe and trouble shooting.
    • Talk over your personal situation and work out the most practical and cost effective way for you to make biodiesel.
    • 1 to 8 people per course.
    • The book / manual 'Biodiesel for the Small Producer’ is included in the cost.
    • We will test your oil supply if you bring a sample.
    • Practice titration so you are confident.
    • Look at examples of biodiesel effects on rubber.
    • Discuss plant design pros and cons.
    • You are encouraged to copy plant designs for your own use.
    • Price includes the manual Biodiesel for the Small Producer. It will be sent to you before the course along with directions, what to bring etc.

    To get the most out of the day some previous biodiesel experience is best. Even if you follow the simple biodiesel in a bottle instructions in Biodiesel for the Small Producer and or read the book cover to cover before the course. The book is sent to you before the course to encourage questions and to help you get the most out of the day.

  • This course is not aimed at commercial operators. Private courses have proven to give best value and knowledge to commercial operators, contact to discuss your needs.
